Mary Ann was born Nov. 29, 1931, as Mary Ann King, daughter of James and Catherine King, formerly of Morristown, N.J. Following her graduation as class salutatorian at age 18 from Morristown High School, Mary Ann took a secretarial job at Monroe Calculating in Morris Plains, N.J. There she was reacquainted with a former classmate of MHS, Walter B.
